This towing company is the best! Their tow truck driver Roger went way above and beyond to get my truck and truck camper towed safely. He was awesome as was their dispatcher when I called. I would highly recommend them.
We were going down on I-85 South on the way to NC then around 7:30- 8 pm we had a flat tire. We were nearly certain that we won’t make to NC on time for our flight the next morning but came the rescue from Brown’s Towing. Roger took us back to his shop then checked the tire which turned out to have a puncture on the sidewall hence not repairable. All tireshops were closed but Roger was able to find a used tire that could work and get us out back on the road. We made the flight!! What a blessing that we happened to be in good hands of Roger. His rate was amazingly reasonable and I happily added tips to the quoated charge. Thank you so much Roger - You saved us and you were the Christmas present to our family. Merry Christmas!!
This past weekend we were stranded on the side of the road with 2 flat tires. We were on route to a wedding in Raleigh NC. Roger went above and beyond to insure our car was towed to Raleigh and were able to attend the wedding. Thank you so much!!!
Had 2 travel trailer tires blow out on I-85. Ended up at loves truck stop on Friday (8/27) evening at 5:00. The Truck stop could not replace the tires and contacted Brown's towing. Roger came to the truck stop and took all four trailer tires to his shop and replace with all new tires. We were back on the road by 9 p.m. If he had not responded we would have been stranded there for who knows how long. Roger is an outstanding person and very reasonable. The citizens of South Hill have a very good person in Roger.
When I tell you these men are true blessings, I mean they are real men making a difference. My friends and I were traveling south to a family function and ran into some issues on the interstate with one of our tires after business hours. These men jumped in and helped us and got us right back on the road. We were a little late to the event, but everything turned out to be a success. A very Special thank you to Billy, if you hadn’t opened that door honey, we definitely would have lost in the sauce. Thank you guys so much!!! Jenny, Jae and Shana.
Fast service and reasonable
6:30 am on a Saturday morning. 150 miles from home. Broke down outside Emporia. What to do...I looked up and called Browns Towing feeling unsure of what would happen next. Best move I could have made. Came to my side right away...got me in his shop and repaired my vehicle within a 2 hour window. Very professional...very customer service oriented and very reasonable on towing and labor. The residents of Emporia are very lucky to have this business in their town. Thanks to Roger and staff. Job well done
Our daughter broke down on I-85 while moving to Virginia. By the time we were towed to Brown's Auto Repair it was way past their closing hours and yet they stayed until her car was fixed so she could continue on her trip and get to her first day of work at a new job. We are eternally grateful to these kind, talented, and honest men! If you need work on your car and live in this area of Virginia, we give our wholehearted reccomendation!
If you need to be towed, you cannot beat George Brown.
Friendly roadside assistance and car diagnostics that did not cost an arm and leg. A great place to break down!!!
I broke down on I-85 with two kids and a dog. George Brown picked us up and brought a state trooper with him to make sure we were all gathered safely off of the highway. George and his son Roger could not have been more lovely. They cured my cars' problems while we had yummy lunch at Brian's Steak House, George's idea!
I highly recommend using Brown's if you are ever in need of car repair. The ladies at Brian's confirmed that the folks at Brown's are honest and good at their trade.
Enroute to Mississippi, our van displayed an amber engine light just outside of South Hill, Virginia. We stopped at the first auto parts store we could find and he referred us to Brown's Towing & Auto Repair.
The tire and alignment guy,"Bear," suggested we have breakfast over at a local steak house and come back at 10:30 when the guy who reads the codes would be in. After said breakfast (Brian's Steak House), we returned to Browns.
Our server had told us that Brown's was the most reliable and honest in town. We found this to be very true. The owner's son, Roger, was not supposed to have been in on this particular Saturday, but we were very glad he was! He took excellent care of us. My husband was able to stay in the garage and I was able to remain in the car while Roger replaced the thermostat. There was a clean bathroom available as needed. Four hours after rolling into the garage he had us on our way. Even on a weekend repair, the prices were reasonable and we were treated fairly.
While we hope never to see the folks at Brown's again except under social circumstances, we would definitely return there should the need arise.
My wife and I were driving from North Carolina to DC at night with our 21-month-old son when we got a flat in one of our rear tires. When we pulled over to put the spare on, a highway patrolman stopped to help us, but the kindness that night didn't end with the officer.
We knew we couldn't make the remaining 200+ miles of the trip on the spare, so we used Google Maps to find an auto shop that might be open at that late hour. One towing company in the area said they were closed but referred us to Brown's, so we called them.
Even though it was around 11:00 PM, Roger at Brown's happened to be catching up that night on some work and answered the phone. To our surprise, he offered to replace our tire. When we got there, not only did he have the proper tire, but he did not overcharge us even though it was well past his regular business hours. His kindness and willingness to help in a pinch saved us from having to get a hotel and do the repair the next morning, and our son slept through the whole thing!
If you are in need of a mechanic in the South Hill area, definitely consider Brown's--Roger is a good and honest man.
